Denise Vinet

Biography

Denise was born in Thibodaux, LA and graduated undergrad from Nichols State University. After graduating college and working at a bank for several years, Denise began working for her father, Raymond Charles Vinet, Sr., in his small law practice in Baton Rouge, LA. At the age of 33, she decided that she wanted to follow in her father’s foot-steps and applied to law school. Denise attended and graduated from Southern University Law Center. Denise then joined her father’s firm, which then became Vinet & Vinet.

Denise has 33 years experience practicing law, particularly in the areas of workmen’s compensation, admiralty, longshoreman, Jones Act, Estates, Wills, and probate/successions. Like her father, Denise is passionate about helping and fighting for the little people that…the people that have no voice. Her motto is “Always take care of the client first…that’s what is most important.”

Denise serves as Of Counsel for Dufour Law Firm and has worked and collaborated on cases with Layne for over 15 years.
